The techniques used in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy are aimed at a person getting to know their own behavior and emotions by analyzing why they react one way or another in various situations.

Familiarizing ourselves with our own behavior and reactions, as well as those of the people around us, is crucial for healthy and correct communication. Applying the techniques of psychotherapy can help us look at our problems from another vantage point, thus finding the solution to them in this way.

Some of the techniques require going into different roles, but art techniques are also used, related to music, drawing, puppet play.


Marriage counseling

In this technique, a conflict from the past is played out here and now, with the person that has decided to resolve it not only retelling the situation but playing it out as well.

For example, if you've had a conflict with your partner, you have to play out the situation by role-playing as yourself, as well as your partner.

This will help you look at the problem from a different point of view.

This technique of role-playing makes people enter nonspecific roles, which enriches them and helps them grow as personalities.

For example, people that are excessively shy and modest are often asked by psychotherapists to enter the role of a self-confident person. This gives them the opportunity to realize what is getting in their way of being more self-confident, plus they gain new qualities, which help them in the future.


Psychotherapists recommend for us to enter different social roles - of a child, husband, wife, employee, boss and parent, so that we analyze ourselves and develop as personalities.

Art therapy

Every form of art is seen by therapists as a way to express yourself. Music and drawing can show our character, as well as the emotional conflicts which need to be corrected.

During their sessions, therapists use various techniques - drawing, painting, sculpting, ceramics, collages and others, which people can use to express their emotional state, perceptions and feelings of creativity.

Using art therapy, a person can see their own state in a material form and image.
