What is a Blood Moon?

One day a year the moon turns "blood" red. As they move through the atmosphere, the sun's shorter rays are scattered and they are bluish in color.

Only the longer rays remain, which have a reddish color. These rays reach the moon's surface and are reflected in it.

That's why when you look at the moon, it appears "blood red".

This is actually an optical illusion that occurs when the Earth orbits its natural secondary planet and its shadow covers the surface of the moon.

When there is a lunar eclipse, such as a blood moon, the Earth takes a position between the Moon and the Sun.

Such eclipses and phenomena such as blood moons occur rarely. According to Christian beliefs, the blood moon is one of the most interesting phenomena.

This is because Christians believe that the blood moon is associated with the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and heralds events that will be fateful. According to one scripture in the Bible, the Sun will go out and darkness will come and the moon will be covered in blood before the Day of Judgment comes.
