The Amelia Earhart Case
Aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart mysteriously vanished in 1937 while she was flying over the Pacific Ocean. To this very day, we still don't know what happened to Earhart. The most popular theory claims she was a spy and that her plane was shown down by Japanese military. According to others, she wanted to stage her own death, while others believe she was kidnapped by aliens.
The Bermuda Triangle
The Bermuda Triangle is a region of the Atlantic where dozens of airplanes and ships have disappeared mysteriously. The cases for these disappearances have often been said to be proof of extraterrestrial activity.
The Dan Cooper Case
In 1971, a mysterious man named Dan Cooper hijacked a Boeing 727 and demanded $200 000 in ransom. But his plans failed and he jumped out of the plane with a parachute. No one has seen him since, although veteran FBI agents say no one could have survived such a jump.
Flying Tiger Line Flight 739
On March 16, 1962, Flight 739, carrying 93 US soldiers on board and headed for South Vietnam, vanished without a trace over the Philippines. Even though some say they had heard an explosion, not a single piece of debris has ever been recovered.
Star Dust Airplane Disappearance
On August 1947, the British South American Airways plane Star Dust vanished in the airspace between Buenos Aires and Santiago. No wreckage was found at the time and most conspiracies claimed that the plane was abducted by aliens. It wasn't until 50 years later that one of the aircraft's engines was found in a glacier in the Andes but this did not help solve the mystery.
