Many scientists believe that the Aksum monoliths, the strange blocks of stone that rise in the Ethiopian town of Aksum are actually traces left by the Atlanteans, the residents of the mythical Atlantis.
The largest stone stands 30 meters high and weighs in at 500 tones. Others have a height of 20 meters. Each of them was processed by hand and has many ornaments but is located in a chaotic mess.
According to ancient records of Ethiopia the town Aksum arose in centuries BC. Scientists believe that subtle ornamentation on the stones is the work of technology that we have not yet known.
However, according to historians, Aksum was built by natives who do not know of any other technique and only that of stone and copper tools.
It is unclear how the huge stones were moved. There is a hypothesis that the natives built their city on the ruins of an ancient civilization from which they were bequeathed stones. According to one of the theories of the scientists, at the beginning of our era the thriving African country was known as Aksum. It occurs even in biblical times.
Much of the monoliths are actually giant Stones and obelisks. Some of them sit on huge platforms with 120 meters of height and a width of 80 meters. Under these platforms there are rooms, which in 1938 were defeated by the bombing.
Leaving only memories for the archaeologists, they thought these ruins were the remains of the chambers of Negus, the Aksum ruler. The archeologists found over 1000 rooms in one of the palaces buried lands which served as memories for the archeologists.
The floors were made of green and white marble walls, from dark ebony and marble inlaid with gold. There is evidence that palaces of Negus had 14 floors. Scientists say that low relief ornament on stealth scale details are of the royal residence.
