In most cases death comes as a relief to the person. Most frequently, it is foretold by a disease and specific type of suffering. And the very moment it leaves the body, the soul experiences joy.

Once it has left the body, the soul feels free. Nothing can restrain it. Its thoughts are clear, while feelings are appeased and synchronized.

When a person dies and their soul exits the body, they begin to identify with it. The soul becomes completely aware that the body it had recently been inhabiting is secondary and obsolete, just like everything material.

The body that is left behind is nothing more than an empty husk. The soul is the "filling" that kept it active when necessary.

A person that had lived through a "temporary death" explained how he had seen his own heart surgery operation from outside his body. It was as if the doctors' efforts to bring his body back to life did not interest him at all. In his conscience he had already said farewell to his earthly life and felt completely ready for a new one. Only the most important things remained from his earthly life - the love toward relatives and caring for his children.

Spirits

From this it becomes clear that even though it is leaving its human form, the soul does not change in terms of its character and essence. No fundamental changes take place in it. According to many, the notion that the soul learns and understands everything once it leaves the body is completely inaccurate.

The soul simply transitions into the next world the same as it had been when leaving the old. The ingrained desire to grow remains. Some see the transition happening in levels.

The transition into the new world means going up one level. No one wants to go back to a previous, lower level, that being the material, physical human body.

For this same reason the soul does not want to return to Earth after it has already left it once. Its work here is done, this cycle of universal learning has reached its end and it is time for the next one.

The transition is a process that few have experienced and later managed to tell about it. The fist phase is when the soul sees its body and its surroundings. Afterwards, some move on to a completely spiritual world. In this way, by going through the first phase, they end up in the second.

This passage has been described for millennia as a journey through a dark space, similar to a tunnel, the end of which is lit by an unearthly light. Those who are not ready for the spiritual tunnel are incarnated - reborn in another body to gain more experience.
