Cellophane suffocation

I had a dream that I wasn't in. The protagonist was a middle aged man going through a bout of depression. He was checking his mail and discovered that a friend had sent him a list of different food items he should cook up to make him happier. This brought him happiness for a little while, but once he cooked all of the food he realized that it was just a trick to further hurt him. He had no roof and suddenly cellophane started falling from the sky and sealing him in. He couldn't crawl his way out and he was stuck in there suffocating. what does this mean ?
