NASA's NuSTAR telescope has detected unusual activity in the supermassive black hole Markarian 335. Images clearly show a strange light emitting from the black hole.

So far, science had determined that black holes can swallow up various objects but it's now evident for the first time that they can eject as well, which is a real revolution in what we've known so far.

The NuSTAR telescope has photographed the corona of the black hole. The observed energy ray is completely inexplicable to scientists and we are still waiting for theories as to its formation.

“This is the first time we have been able to link the launching of the corona to a flare, ” said Dan Wilkins from Saint Mary’s University. According to him, the images will be a godsend in studying supermassive black holes and their abilities to affect the Universe.

Head researcher Fiona Harrison, who is examining the objects imaged by NuSTAR, also notes that the energy source is mysterious. Scientists need to examine the entire structure in relation to the precise dimensions of the black hole.

Markarian 335 is located 34 million light years from Earth but may give coherent clues about the function of black holes in all of space.

Regardless of how the observed light forms, it must definitely have some sort of effect on a specific function of the Universe, say NASA scientists.

Just several months ago, world-renowned physicist Stephen Hawking put forth a new theory about black holes. He claims he's found a mechanism proving that black holes lead to other universes.

“If you feel you are in a black hole, don’t give up. There’s a way out” said Hawking.

The initial thought was that nothing could ever escape a black hole but according to the logic of the Universe, nothing truly disappears and should in theory appear somewhere else.

According to Hawking, this can happen in 2 ways - either the object turns into its own sort of hologram at the edge of the black hole or comes out of it in an alternative universe.
