Antarctic researchers have made an unusual find. Over a ton of dinosaur remains lie within the soil of the continent.

According to experts' analysis, the age of some of the finds exceed 71 million years. The discovery was made by a research group with members from several countries - they have unearthed over a ton of fossils and dinosaur remains.

Some of the most impressive artifacts are the fossils of reptiles. These include Plesiosaurs and Mesosaurs - marine reptiles made more famous by the Jurassic World movie. The find of fossilized birds that inhabited the Earth at the end of the Cretaceous is also a unique one.

Millions of years ago, Antarctica was a warm continent and its territory was home to a wide diversity of dinosaurs. Throughout the course of the current expedition, researchers have managed to map and study territories which no human foot had yet set on. What was revealed before them was a new world of animals long extinct.
